Windows Firewall Control เป็นโปรแกรมเล็ก ๆ ที่จะรันอยู่ตรง system tray และสามารถปรับแต่งการควบคุมหลัก ๆ Windows Firewall ได้อย่างรวดเร็วโดย Options ที่พร้อมจะปิดหรือเปิด firewall และการตั้งค่าที่สูงไปกว่านั้นทั้งหมดจะอยู่เพียง system tray เท่านั้น

Windows Firewall Control จะมี 4 หมวดหลัก ๆ และแสดงสถานะบอกอย่างชัดเจน

• High Filtering - ทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างจะถูกบล็อก ไม่สามารถเชื่อมต่อภายนอกได้
• Medium Filtering - โปรแกรมจะไม่สามารถเชื่อมต่อภายนอกได้ หากไม่อยู่ในกฎที่ตั้งไว้ คือหากต้องการให้โปรแกรมไหนให้สามารถเชื่อมต่อได้ก็ตั้งกฎเอาไว้เป็นเฉพาะโปรแกรมไป
• Low Filtering - การเชื่อมต่อขาออกทั้งหมดจะไม่ถูกบล็อกนอกจากว่าคุณจะตั้งกฎเอาไว้ หากตั้งการบล็อกการเชื่อมต่อของโปรแกรมใดก็ตั้งกฎไว้
• No Filtering - ปิด Windows Firewall ทั้งหมด !!

     นี่เป็นทางออกที่ดีในการควบคุม firewall ที่รวดเร็วโดยไม่ต้องเปิด interface จริง ๆ โดยจะมี option หลัก ๆ อยู่เพียง system tray เท่านั้น ซึ่งคุณสามารถปรับเปลี่ยนโหมดได้ 4 ระดับ ตามความปลอดภัยที่คุณต้องการ

ข้อเสีย
     “Lock Application”, “Shell Integration” และ “Learning Mode” เป็นการตั้งค่าขั้นสูงที่คุณต้องจ่ายเพื่อใช้มัน !! (ไว้จะหา V. เต็มมาครับผม)
