ถึงตอนนี้คงไม่มีใครบ่นว่า Mozilla ออก Firefox ช้าอีกต่อไปแล้ว โดยครั้งนี้ Mozilla ได้ออก Firefox 7 ออกมาไวกว่าเดิมมาก มีการปรับเปลี่ยนสิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุดเลย นั่นก็คือการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของการจัดการทรัพยากร ตัวโปรแกรมจะกินแรมน้อยลงนั่นเอง คาดว่าจะกินน้อยลงกว่าเวอร์ชั่นเดิมถึง 30 % เลยทีเดียว

•    Added a new rendering backend to speed up Canvas operations on Windows systems

•    Added support for the Web Timing specification
•    Added an opt-in system for users to send performance data back to Mozilla to improve future versions of Firefox. This can be enabled by installing an add-on
•    Fixed several stability issues
