SageThumbs เป็นตัวเสริมประสิทธิภาพของ Windows Explorer ด้วยความสามารถดูรูปภาพแบบพรีวิวไฟล์รูปเกือบทั้งหมดได้ โดยอาศัยเทคโนโลยีที่ชื่อว่า Pierre-e Gougelet's GFL library

เนื่องจาก SageThimbs เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ Windows Explorer และ context menu ทำให้โปรแกรมไม่ต้องรันเพื่อเปิดโปรแกรม การใช้งานก็เพียงแค่คลิกขวารูปภาพที่คุณต้องการจะดูพรีวิวเท่านั้น

ข้อดี
การบริหารจัดการรูปภาพต่างๆ เป็นเรื่องที่ง่ายมากขึ้นเพียงแค่การควบคุมจาก context menu อีกทั้งโปรแกรมยังลองรองรับไฟล์มากมายที่มี รวมถึงไฟล์ raw ด้วย

ข้อเสีย
เวลาแปลงไฟลฺ์รูปภาพจะไม่มีแถบสถานะบ่งบอกใดๆ ทั้งสิ้นและตัวโปรแกรมก็ยังกินแรมมากโขอีกด้วย
